- The IoT Chair will award in its 3rd edition the best projects related to the Internet of Things and energy management.

The Chair of the Internet of Things has launched the third edition of its awards for Bachelor’s Degree Final Projects and Master’s Degree Final Projects of the University of Seville. In this 2023/2024 edition, four students will receive awards for their projects. Two for the best Bachelor’s Degree Final Projects and two for the best Master’s Degree Final Projects. The chair will select the most innovative projects that make the greatest contribution to the Internet of Things and smart energy management sector. The aim is to promote research and development, as well as to serve as an incentive for students to enter this field of work.
The Internet of Things Chair is a collaboration between the University of Seville and the technology company WoodSwallow. “We encourage any student at the University of Seville to submit their projects to these awards. We want to encourage and reward innovation in the field of IoT. The large number of new uses and applications, as well as services associated with this technology makes it a very attractive field and one in which we must continue to invest both from the University of Seville and from Andalusian technology companies.”
WHO CAN APPLY?
These awards are aimed at students from any branch of engineering at the University of Seville. However, any student of the University of Seville wishing to do so, regardless of their degree, may submit their candidature for these awards. The projects must have been presented and qualified by the University of Seville between 1 October 2023 and 30 September 2024.
The projects must cover a topic related to the Internet of Things. Those related to intelligent energy management applications being positively valued.
WHAT DO THE AWARDS CONSIST OF?
Once the works submitted have been analyzed, the two best Bachelor’s Degree Final Projects and the two best Master’s Degree Final Projects will be awarded. The economic amount linked to the prizes in this third edition amounts to 3,000 euros for Bachelor’s Degree projects (TFG) and 3,500 euros for master’s degree projects.
The prizes will be divided into two categories. Each category has a number of proposed themes from which students can choose for their projects. The categories are: Embedded Hardware and Embedded Firmware.
