  • The IoT Chair awards two grants for the completion of bachelor’s and master’s degree final projects on several proposed topics.

The deadline for submitting applications for a grant to support a bachelor’s or Master’s thesis has been extended until 28 February 2023. The grants are awarded by the Chair of the Internet of Things, promoted by the University of Seville and the technology-based company WoodSwallow. With this initiative, the Chair seeks to promote research and development in the field of the Internet of Things and smart energy management.

This call is aimed at engineering students at the University of Seville for bachelor’s and master’s degree final projects during the academic year 2022-2023. These projects must address one of the four specific topics proposed by the Chair related to IoT and smart energy management.

In this first edition, the IoT Chair will select two students from among those who have applied. These students will receive support grants with a financial endowment of 3,500 euros to carry out their final projects. The projects must be submitted by September 2023 at the latest.

Topics proposed by the chair

The scholarship students will have to elaborate their project on one of the topics proposed by the chair. The specific topics are: “Design and simulation of printed circuit antennas for IoT embedded equipment”, “Study and test of new network technologies for IoT oriented to connected homes: Thread and Matter”. In addition to “Development of a Python process for management and monitoring of a commercial sensor with Bluetooth connectivity” and “PSU (Power Supply Unit) designs”. All the information regarding the grants, as well as the application process, can be found on the Chair’s website: Internet of Things Chair (us.es).
